Stay Safe Global delivers complete personal safety workshops across all areas of professional and personal life. Our bespoke training courses include everything from creating safe and supportive work spaces, to empowering individuals with avoidance and awareness skills to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of assault or harassment. Stay Safe Global also develops physical defence techniques for when conflict is unavoidable. Working with global companies, including Salesforce and Infosys, we provide training programmes at locations around the world. Combining hands-on safety skills and professional awareness training we empower staff with the skills to support policies that enable employers to create and maintain safe, supportive working cultures for all. Expert tutors deliver our popular knife awareness and defence courses at multinational corporations across Europe and the U.S. as well as youth organisations including London’s Met Police Cadets.

Through our advisory board, Stay Safe Global draws on expertise from a range of professionals working in the fields of domestic abuse, sexual violence prevention, martial arts and self-defence as well as corporate security, workplace safety and psychology professors specialising in understanding violent and coercive behaviour.

Stay Safe Global also conducts research projects into how society can tackle issues around sexual harassment and abuse. Findings and recommendations from these studies are provided to international campaign groups and Government departments.

Our workshops combine mental well-being, confidence building, pre-awareness strategies and danger recognition techniques to ensure you have the tools to think Safe, Stay safe.

Partnering with the international NO MORE campaign and Hestia women’s refuges gives our tutors real world experience and understanding to support survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Safe Skills workshops give highly effective and practical self-defence techniques for when dangerous situations become unavoidable. All skills are tried, tested and trusted by organisations across the globe. Through a series of skill acquisition and confidence-building exercises, participants will be shown how to defend and remove themselves from risky situations. More importantly, it gives confidence to act and tools to use when faced with an unexpected and frightening situation.

safe skills workshops cover:
  • Creating and protecting safe distance
  • Controlling fear and overcoming the “freeze response”
  • Challenging and verbal barriers
  • Creating a physical barrier
  • Striking and recognition of vulnerable targets
  • Escape techniques from a grab or hold
  • Negating strength and power
  • Getting back to your feet
  • Knife awareness and edged weapon defence

Everything we teach is simple and practical, you do not need to have any prior experience of self-defence training. Our other sessions focus on avoiding or recognising potentially dangerous situations but when the worst is unescapable then these skills are valuable.

The Stay Safe Global Foundation

Stay Safe Global is working to end domestic abuse, sexual violence and sexual harassment in our society. Through our foundation, we link with charities and organisations that work closely with survivors – both adult and child.

Everything we do is aimed at helping people own their own space – becoming more confident and helping survivors overcome the challenges they face.

Policy, research and
programme design

Last year, Stay Safe Global and UK SAYS NO MORE worked together to conduct a study into male views on harassment and toxic masculinity. The results were announced at a live question and answer event at the offices of international law firm Hogan Lovells LLP as part of their three year corporate partnership with charity Hestia.

This research has been extended by UK SAYS NO MORE as we continue to explore the issues surrounding the that role men play in ending domestic abuse and sexual violence. Including co hosting the ‘what I can do?’ podcast.

Our work with partners

Through a partnership with Sport England, we have delivered workshops to families living in refuges to promote wellbeing, strengthen family bonds and give back confidence and self-esteem to survivors of domestic abuse.

Stay Safe Global is working with the Home Office to deliver a university ambassador programme which will see 150 trained ambassadors created to support victims of domestic or relationship abuse and sexual violence at campuses across the UK.

By working within schools and universities, Stay Safe Global is supporting young people dealing with issues including gender, consent and healthy relationships.

The MET Police Cadets also receive free training as part of a programme to support children in London boroughs affected by knife crime and violence. These workshops focus on safe skills, - teaching young people knife awareness and avoidance and is aimed at tackling the alarming rise in knife-related incidents across the capital.

We work internationally, delivering free programmes in India at prestigious universities including the Colleges of Engineering in Maharashtra and the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad.

Work is also continuing within schools including Bermondsey Harris Academy girls’ school where Stay Safe Global delivers workshops focusing on safe and healthy relationships. These sessions, which were added too and delivered within the school’s curriculum, are also running at universities including Imperial College London.

Through partnerships with organisations such as these, Stay Safe Global hopes to change society for the better and take a stand against unacceptable behaviour in our communities.
